Mother’s Day “Soap Cycling” : Legendary Education Group x Soap Cycling

While carnations are a traditional gift for Mother’s Day, this year, the team from Legendary Education Group visited the Soap Cycling workshop to participate in the production of recycled soap. Together, we crafted “Soap for Good”—pieces of recycled soap carrying our heartfelt blessings to be delivered to mothers in need.

Our journey began with an introduction to Soap Cycling’s environmental philosophy, followed by hands-on processing, molding, and packaging of soap collected from hotels. Each step required focus and served as a profound reminder: what is discarded is not necessarily waste.

Reducing environmental burden requires persistent effort. Data shows that for every 187 metric tons of soap recycled, carbon emissions are reduced by 256,000 kg (equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 10,000 trees), and enough water is saved to support 110 people for an entire year. During this initiative, our company collectively reshaped 12 kg of discarded soap. This small but steady effort is enough to provide a full year of hygiene protection for 24 individuals in need.

A truly memorable part of the process was working alongside the neurodiverse youth interns at the workshop. Their polite and enthusiastic guidance through each procedure was infectious. At the conclusion of the event, we presented them with handwritten letters of appreciation, thanking these outstanding young people for their warm service and professionalism, which allowed us to witness the beauty of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

As we used our hands to craft soap, we reflected on the hands of our own mothers. Are they fair? Warm? Soft? Or are they hands that have been too busy for us to truly notice? Those hands have washed our clothes, cooked our meals, guided us, and comforted us—silently supporting an entire family. This Mother’s Day, let us protect our mothers’ hands and remember their lifelong, silent dedication.
