In a recent interview with Metro Finance&#8217;s &#8220;Corporate Blueprint,&#8221; Mr. Sam Yuen Yu-sum, Chairman and Executive Director of the Group, highlighted the surging demand for its courses in Hong Kong. He expressed optimism for the future, particularly noting the recovery in the number of DSE candidates and the strategic appointment of Ms. Louisa Mak as a Non-Executive Director to spearhead consultancy in early childhood education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Robust Financial Growth Across Core Segments<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Group&#8217;s primary revenue driver remains its Financial Intelligence and Investment Education business. For the six months ended September 30, 2023, this segment served approximately 2,700 students, generating HK$99 million in revenue\u2014a 23.8% year-on-year increase. Simultaneously, the Private Supplementary Education business recorded HK$31.8 million in revenue, representing a significant 61.4% year-on-year growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Yuen noted that the FI segment addresses a critical gap in Hong Kong&#8217;s traditional education system. Since its inception five years ago, the curriculum has expanded from property and stock investment to index options and international real estate. Plans are underway to achieve full subject coverage by 2024. Additionally, the Group is exploring opportunities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), particularly catering to students coming to Hong Kong under the &#8220;Top Talent Pass Scheme.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"strategic-expansion-into-early-childhood-education\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic Expansion into Early Childhood Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To further diversify, the Group appointed Ms. Louisa Mak, a &#8220;10A&#8221; Miss Hong Kong alumna, as a Non-Executive Director. A consultancy agreement has also been established with her firm, Louisa Mak Workshop, to provide advisory services on early childhood development. Mr. Yuen believes Ms. Mak&#8217;s expertise will broaden the Group&#8217;s demographic spectrum and bring unique insights to the Board, facilitating expansion into the younger student market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"aspirations-for-main-board-listing\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aspirations for Main Board Listing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the Hong Kong Stock Exchange&#8217;s introduction of a simplified transfer mechanism in 2024, Legendary Education Group is actively working toward transferring its listing from GEM to the Main Board. Mr. Yuen emphasized that a Main Board listing would enhance public visibility, market valuation, and share liquidity.
